Thursday 4th September, 9:00am – 10:00am
This workshop will give you an introduction to understand trauma and traumatic stress so you can recognise when you and your colleagues may be at risk of psychological injury. It will give you an introduction to Psychological First Aid, the international best practice model for supporting people following trauma exposure.

Thursday 4th September, 9:00am – 10:00am
Our working days can be busy and stressful. We often find ourselves juggling our ‘to do’ list and prioritising other’s needs, leaving little time for ourselves. Mindfulness is the practice of being present and fully aware of our thoughts, feelings, and sensations.
Facilitated by a Mindfulness Now trainer, these sessions will encourage you to try brief and simple techniques to find moments of peace in this hectic world.

Come Along to YOUR credit Union Workshop & Let’s Get Money Smart Together! Whether you work in the NHS, HSCP, or third sector, you’re invited to join us for a friendly online session. We’ll share who we are, what we do, and how we can help you feel more confident and in control of your money.

Thursday 4th September, 12:00pm – 12:30pm
This session takes the form of a short presentation highlighting what the NHSRF does, how it can benefit retirees or people thinking of retiring, where local branches are and to find out if there are people interested in establishing new branches.

Thursday 4th September, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
This will be an informative session developed around three key themes.
1. Recognising symptoms of menopause
2. What you can do, when to ask for help
3. How to get the most out of your menopause/HRT consultation, including preparing for the consultation and what to try if things are going off track.
Thursday 4th September, 1:30pm – 2:30pm
In today’s demanding healthcare environment, burnout is an increasingly common—and deeply human—response to chronic stress and pressure. This session is designed specifically for NHS staff to explore the realities of burnout, understand its impact, and discover meaningful strategies for prevention and recovery.
The session will cover:
• What burnout is—and what it isn’t
• How to recognise early warning signs in yourself and others
• Practical tools for self-care and team wellbeing
• How to build a culture of psychological safety and peer support
Whether you’re a frontline clinician, team leader, or support staff, this session offers a compassionate space to reflect, connect, and take away actionable steps to support your wellbeing and that of your colleagues.

Thursday 4th September, 3:00pm – 4:00pm
This session will visit the Values Based Reflective Practice (VBRP®) model. VBRP® offers the worker a safe space to look at what is going on for them and to think in different ways about their working life. There will be an introduction to the model, its benefits for both the team and the individual and the opportunity for some reflective practice in real time.

Thursday 4th September, 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Stress can be triggered by a number of factors, including work, relationships, and financial difficulties. It can leave us feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope. While short bursts of stress can be helpful, such as when we need to meet a deadline, prolonged stress can lead to significant physical, emotional, and mental health concerns.

This session provides a space for people to focus on their self-care and what might support their own resilience.

Thursday 4th September, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Cognitive behavioural approaches can be an effective addition to help us cope with some of the challenging symptoms of menopause. This session will introduce participants to the links between menopause symptoms, and how we think, feel, and act.
The session will offer participants an opportunity to share some of their experiences and try some simple techniques which can help them live through the menopause.

The theme of National Wellbeing Week this year is ‘Supporting workplace culture’. We have a couple of resources related to this which may be of interest to you.
The first is a set of learning modules on Peer Support. We can all play a role in generating a supportive, inclusive environment in the workplace. Supportive environments where colleagues check in with one another can play a huge role in reducing the impact the stressful experiences have. Our peer support modules will help you understand common warning signs that someone might need support and provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide that support.
Second is our Reflective Practice Toolkit. Reflective Practice can help boost team wellbeing by providing staff with opportunities to come together with colleagues, to share and learn from each others experiences, enhancing wellbeing and strengthening teams. Our toolkit will guide you through the basics of Reflective Practice and provide an overview of what is needed to implement reflective practice groups for your staff.
